SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

Following service in the U.S. Air Force where he was an instructor and Career Guidance Supervisor in the U.S., Korea and Japan, Mr. Mays attended L.A. City College, Woodbury University and U.C.L.A. majoring in business and real estate. He was hired by R.A. Rowan and Company, a pioneer southern California real estate firm as a property management trainee. After gaining expereience in the management, leasing and sales of a variety of properties, he was assigned the management responsibility for the firm's biggest account, the seven M.J. Connell multi-story Loft Buildings which were the center of the garment and mercantile industries between 7th and 8th streets on Los Angeles Street and Santee Street. Upon entering the real estate brokerage profession as a Commercial Sales and Leasing Broker with the Frank Dutra Company, he was later associated with WM.E. Doud Company Realtors as Vice President and was leasing agent for one of the first major high rise buildings in west Los Angeles. He also founded a new real estate office in Pasadena.

He was hired by Tishman Realty and Construction Co., Inc., the New York Stock Exchange developer of high rise buildings as the first in-house Director of Leasing in Los Angeles. Promoted to west coast Executive Director of Property Management including renewal leasing and tenant alterations during the company's major growth period in both Los Angeles and San Francisco; his responsibilities included the management supervision for seventeen major office buildings, a hotel, two high rise luxury apartment buildings, lands acquired and held for investment/development, and a high rise condominium.

As Vice President of Helmsley-Spear of California, Mr. Mays was an investment property sales broker and property manager. The nationwide firm headed by Harry Helmsley was the owner of the Empire State Building and owner or manager of several millions of square feet of office, apartment buildings and hotels throughout the U.S. In Los Angeles, the company owned the Roosevelt Building, developed and managed the Jewelry Trades Building and managed a number of other office, retail and apartment properties.

Joining Continental Development Corporation as Assistant to the Chairman/CEO, he was promoted to Vice President, Senior Vice President and then Executive Vice President where he was involved in operations, acquisitions, development, construction, management, leasing and sales of industrial and office parks, retail and high rise office buildings in both southern and northern California.

Since moving to the Palm Springs, Coachella Valley area in 1997, Mr. Mays continued his real estate practice as a broker and was appointed General Manager of the Indio Fashion Mall and adjacent strip center. He increased the retail store occupancy from 70% to 100% prior to the property being sold. In November of 2004, Gene Mays joined the REMM Group to head up properties in the Palm Springs, Coachella Valley areas. He was the developer/leasing agent and is the manager of the Plaza Harrison Center in Coachella, an 18 space retail center and General Manager of the Esplanade Center, a mixed use office and retail property on Date Palm Drive in Cathedral City. His extensive real estate experience in a variety of local, regional and national affiliations along with the entire REMM Group organization and staff, affords clients responsible and professional real estate management services in the lower desert.
